Light

Equivalent to proofreading. Appropriate for a document that has already been copyedited and is in its final form.

Medium

Equivalent to standard copyediting. Appropriate for a document that has not been copyedited. This type of edit includes any rephrasing that's necessary to convey the writer's meaning more clearly.

English Localization

Similar to a medium-level editing, but with specific focus on assuring that text translated into English is appropriately written for English-speaking readers.

Heavy

Equivalent to standard developmental editing and medium copyediting combined. Appropriate for a document that has not been reviewed by an editor at any stage or a document that has aged. A heavy edit provides more extensive rewriting where needed.
